Built and operated by GeezSoft
Jocker: Live bingo from your phone, or a bingo night in your own venue.
A live bingo platform in Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, Tigrinya and English. Players sign up with a phone number, deposit with Telebirr, CBE Birr or bank transfer, pick a card from 10 birr and follow each ball as it is called; winnings go straight to the wallet. Bars and halls run their own bingo nights with a caller console, a TV board and staff phones for selling cards — all in the browser, nothing to install.

Capabilities
What Jocker does.

- Venue mode for bars and halls: caller console, TV display board, staff phones for card sales and a closing bill for the night
- Paper cards sold in a venue open online with the three-digit code printed on them
- Every draw is recorded on the server before it is called; past rounds replay ball by ball
- Wallet with deposits, cards, winnings and withdrawals to Telebirr or a bank account; prizes and card prices shown before purchase
- Runs in the browser on Android and iPhone with no download; interfaces in Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, Tigrinya and English
Case study · Own product
Jocker: one bingo platform for phones and for bar nights
How we built a live bingo product that works two ways — online rounds from a phone and hosted nights in a venue — in four Ethiopian languages, with Birr deposits and a wallet.
The problem
Bingo nights in Ethiopian bars and halls run on paper cards, a caller with a microphone and a lot of trust. Players who want to play from home have no local option, and venues have no simple way to sell cards, display the board and settle the night without a manual count.
What we set out to build
One platform that serves both: live rounds a player can join from any phone, and a hosted mode a venue can run in a browser on the equipment it already has — a laptop for the caller, a TV for the board, staff phones for selling cards.
What we built
A browser-based product with no download. Online, a player signs up with a phone number, deposits with Telebirr, CBE Birr or bank transfer, picks a card from 10 birr and follows each ball as it is called; winnings land in the wallet and can be withdrawn to Telebirr or a bank account. In a venue, the caller console drives the draw, the TV board shows it, staff sell cards from their phones, and a paper card bought at the bar opens online with the three-digit code printed on it.
- Live online rounds with a card picker and one-tap bingo
- Venue mode: caller console, TV display, staff card sales, closing bill
- Paper-card codes that open the same card online
- Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, Tigrinya and English interfaces
Fairness and auditability
Every draw is recorded on the server before the number is called, so a round cannot be altered after the fact, and any past round can be replayed ball by ball. Prizes and card prices are shown before a card is bought, and winnings are split automatically when several cards complete on the same ball.
Payments
Deposits by Telebirr, CBE Birr or bank transfer, confirmed from the transaction number on the player's receipt and credited to the wallet. The wallet records every deposit, card, win and withdrawal.
Design decisions
- Amharic first, with Afaan Oromoo, Tigrinya and English, because the venue audience is not an English-first audience.
- Browser only — an install step loses players and venues alike; the app updates itself.
- One engine for both modes, so a venue night and an online round settle the same way.
Results
Jocker is live at jocker.today in both modes. Players are 18+ and the product carries a play-responsibly notice. As with our other products, we publish numbers only where they can be verified on the product itself.
